This project involves a substantial “pop top” renovation of an existing home in Monument,
Colorado.
The homeowners aim to create an in-law suite within their current house and add a new story atop the existing structure. The home is set on a spacious property adorned with expansive trees. The design boasts a modern chateau aesthetic, highlighted by a prominent turret that serves as the main design feature. Inside the turret, a new spiral staircase provides an organizing element for the interior.
The layout features a large open concept with an oversized kitchen. Nana walls seamlessly connect both the living room and kitchen to the outdoors, enhancing the indoor-outdoor living experience. Adjacent to the garage is a convenient dog-washing room. Upstairs, the addition includes two bedrooms and a luxurious primary suite, offering a blend of comfort and elegance.
